Vietnam-The hidden charm

Welcome all of you traveling to Vietnam-the Pearl of Asia... through my blog ;)

A few days ago, i met a friend who had no idea where Vietnam is :( This urged me to write a blog on my lovely country. Hopefully, my blog is an useful information for those who is going to visit Vietnam in the future ;)

Vietnam is just about twice the size of Arizona with over 80 millions people ( that's why the house price is much more expensive than in the U.S :) ). It is divided into 2 main parts: the North and the South.

The North with Hanoi, the capital is the location of the government's headquarters so it is considered more quiet and more cultured. The South with Saigon- the biggest city, is the business centers. Southerners consider themselves more dynamic and tend to see Hanoi as a quaint, sleepy town. They have been more exposed to Westen ways. It is said that Hanoi is something like DC, a big city but still quiet and peaceful while Sai gon is like New York, a nightlife and business buzz.

As I noticed, i am the only one who is from the north of Vietnam in our class :) and sometimes i chatted with the others from the South in Vietnamese but i even didn't understand what they were saying because we have different dialects, accents.

However, both of the North and the South have so many beautiful places that tourists cannot resist to visit such as Halong Bay, one of the world's heritage in the North and Nha Trang in the South.
